I was given the task of creating captivating web banners and print content in the midst of a rebranding, providing the challenge of creating cohesive designs, yet evolving into the new brand identity. Knowing where the product came from and who made it is the mission of Krochet Kids. To display this identity to the customer, I incorporated photo content from their Peru and Uganda locations. In the repetitive practice of studio work, I grew in my understanding of how I, as a designer, interact with materials and the marks they create. This series is an attempt to answer questions of design through moments of exploration. Each image communicates another piece of information, furthering the viewer’s understanding. Circles and lines, printed and drawn, are an invitation to look—and to look again. Through subtle repetitions, they are methodical and gentle. No piece can be replicated exactly, yet as a whole they work cohesively. They are studies of the relationships between shape, line and color.
